In Focus: Castlery
The New Kid on the Block
Singaporean interiors brand Castlery launched in the UK last month with bang, taking over an entire townhouse in Bloomsbury for the occasion, to give people a look at their beautiful products in the flesh. Think Soho Home meets West Elm, but without the formers price tag. It’s SO exciting, and I think they’re particularly going to excel in the sofa department. And rugs, and bedside tables, and… well, you get the picture, right?
I’ve been through the entire website to find my favourite pieces across the board. You can thank me later.
Auburn is a modular sofa system, so configure away to get exactly the right fit for your space. I’m loving the basalt performance boucle (it comes in a chalky white too, for the very brave), and the fact that no plumping is needed, means this baby will look good all the time whilst still being super inviting and cosy.
The Solari sofa is an absolute stunner in all its configurations - yes, it’s also modular and comes in cream too, but I adore it the olive tri-tone boucle and its curvy lines and nod to vintage designs. This model has already got its own fan club!
As I’ve already said, sofas are their particular strong point. Many are modular, so no stressing about our pesky narrow Victorian door openings and hallways, or lifts into flats, and lots are upholstered with performance fabric. Clever. And SUCH gorgeous designs. Short lead times too which is definitely a huge bonus.
Moving right along to other pieces, I do love a round dining table, and their Brook design has a sculptural base, combined with lovely wood tones, bringing so much warmth, texture and interest to the game. A real beauty.
Pretty sure the Elio coffee table is going to be SUPER popular. Vintage vibes, and beautiful marble top, this design comes as a side table too. Get in line.
The Crescent designs are really special pieces mixing two different wood veneers including the gorgeous mappa burl. There’s the single bedside table shown above, a larger two drawer version, and an amazing six drawer side board too.
I love a wall desk set up as a clever way to squeeze a desk in to a living room or a kids bedroom when you’re a bit tight on space (thinking something like this would be perfect for Baxter’s new bedroom if we ever manage to move), and the Seb does just that, but without compromising on style.
My final pick is the Esmee bed frame which really speaks for itself. I do love this style of bed. A lot. There’s a lift-up storage base option, and you can even buy the covers so you can have it cleaned, or switch colours when the mood strikes.
There were some other great pieces on show at the Castlery Townhouse like big wall hung mirrors, which aren’t on the website, but I’m hoping they’ll be making their way online really soon. Do check them out, and keep your eyes peeled for more new arrivals too.
Welcome to the UK Castlery - I think you’ll be VERY welcome here!
